The “Warding off Evil and Guiding Toward Good Fortune” blessing, unique to Kego Shrine.
It features the square-shaped “Warding off Evil and Guiding Toward Good Fortune Crest,” woven into the fabric to symbolize protection from impurities and calamities. -

The Kego Shrine Crest is derived from the kanji character for solid (固). The square shape protects what is important to you. This amulet is imbued with prayers to protect you and your loved ones from everyday sins, impurities, illnesses, and unexpected misfortunes.

The character (蝠) in the word for bat (蝙蝠) has the same pronunciation as the word for good luck (福); therefore, the bat is considered an auspicious animal that brings happiness. It’s also known for its use in auspicious family crests.

Goshuin book
The goshuin book is used to receive shrine calligraphy as a record of your shrine visit. Our goshuin book features the signature purple of Kego Shrine and wisteria blossoms, a motif associated with the Kuroda Family.

This calligraphy from Imamasu Inari Shrine features a laughing fox and ears of ripe rice overflowing from a masu (square measuring box).
We encourage you to stroke the heads of the laughing and smiling foxes on your visit.
